一般用於比較正式的見面場合,是比較正式客套的見面問候方式,熟人及朋友間儘量避免使用,以免產生距離感等負面情緒。

so long 經常用在你跟對方有比較長的時間不能再見面時用,比如有人要去度假一段時間,你跟他再見的時候可以用so long;而good bye則比較通用。see you 也表示goodbye再見,兩者都用於非正式場合。
1.A: I must go, I will be back in a year.. 我必須要走了,我一年後會再回來。
B: OK, so long. 好的,再見。
2. A: Please call me when you are in Paris. 你到達巴黎後請給我打電話。
B: So long. 再見。
