Åshild Kanstad Johnsen

Born in 1978, Åshild Kanstad Johnsen is an illustrator and author based in Bergen, Norway. Her work Kubbe Lager Museum (English title: Block Is Making A Museum, 2014) won the Silver Prize from “The Year's Most Beautiful Books” in Norway and Best Children and Teenager's Books from “Best Books Everyone Should Read” in Taiwan for its iconic illustrations and story. The book is now published in fourteen countries. Her other works include Kubbe lager verdens beste jul! (English title: Block’s Perfect Christmas) and Kubbe lager spetakkel (English title: Block Makes A Commotion).
