Job wisdom
Have you ever gotten lost in a new place and found yourself in the wrong place? Usually you are late for something or frustrated by the experience. It is a difficult time and is one that you’d rather forget. Yet, it is one of those memories that refuse to fade away and it pops up in conversation with people saying, “Remember when we got lost going to ...” If you have had that kind of experience, then you can empathize with your guests as they adventure out. If you can help them get to their end location safely without too many mishaps, they will have a different story to tell when they get home. Draw them a map or print out directions using the Internet and give them the address of the hotel in Chinese so they can show it to Chinese speaking people when they need to get back. A taxi driver will know where to take them instantly after reading their slip of paper. Who knows, maybe someday someone will do the same for you!
