十三人刺客：殊死血戰DVD

日本江戶幕府的將軍之弟--明石藩主是位惡名昭彰的暴君，所犯暴行罄竹難書。直屬將軍的全國政務官土井，因此向擔任監察官的島田新左衛門（役所廣司 飾）下達刺殺明石藩主的密令。13名由新左衛門領軍、身懷絕技的刺客，將與上百名官府重兵展開一場以小博大、壯烈激昂的殊死決戰！

The setting is March of 1844. Zusho Mamiya, a senior chief of Akashi clan, commits hara-kiri in front of the residence belonging to Doi (Hira Mikijiro), a member of the Council of Elders in the Shogunate. Mamiyas act is a desperate plea against the deranged and brutal Naritsugu Matsudaira (Goro Inagaki), the feudal lord of the Akashi clan who also is the illegitimate brother to the Shogun. As the central government officials stir, Doi, being the second highest ranking official, concludes the necessity to assassinate Noritsugu and swiftly commands Shinzaemon Shimada (Kouji Yakusho) to carry this out. To this order, Shinzaemon secretly organizes a hit squad of 12 assassins. Although this assassination plan is a sealed order, Hanbei Kitou (Masachika Ichimura), an adviser to Naritsugu uncovers the plot against his lord. Hanbei and Shinzaemon, taught under the same master and sharing the same swordsmanship, finally reunite with each other serving opposing sides. And thus, the feud between 13 assassins and a bloody tyrant begins.
