第１堂課─經驗敘述篇

無論是誰，都會有值得拿出來寫成一篇文章的經驗。就算沒有經驗，也一定聽過別人說他們的經驗。英文作文常以最平易近人的題材出題，所以瞭解如何形容自己的經驗就很重要了。而且即使題目沒有直接點出「經驗」兩字，大部份的作文還是可以提到經驗，例如在議論文中舉自己的經驗為例證，或是在圖片題型中描述圖中角色的經驗。因此，描述經驗非常重要，不會的話就寫不出一篇好的英文作文！

Step 1. 到底是怎樣的經驗？

What? Who? When? Where? Why? How? 牢記這雖然老套但偏偏就是這麼好用的5W1H，不但可以充實文章的內容，更能讓讀者清楚瞭解狀況。

以題目An Unforgettable Day為例：

What? 什麼事？要是你不說清楚，讀者可搞不清楚你難忘的一天到底做了什麼。在這裡就可以說My most unforgettable day is the day I moved to a new house. 「我最難忘的一天就是我搬到新房子的那一天。」

Who? 誰？例如I moved to the new house with my parents and my brother.「我和我的父母和哥哥一起搬到新房子。」

When? 什麼時候？例如It was when I was ten years old.「那時我十歲。」

Where? 在哪裡？例如Our new home was at the north of our old home.「我們的新家在舊家的北邊。」

Why? 為什麼？例如We had to move because my father found a new job.「我們必須搬家，因為我爸找到新工作。」

How? 如何做？例如We hired a moving truck to help us move.「我們雇了一台搬家卡車來幫我們搬家。」

有了這些詳細的說明，就可以完成相當充實、字數也夠多的第一段了。

Step 2. 讓畫面活起來！

光是只有「什麼時候、做了什麼」等等的事實，只會讓文章看起來有如課本一樣都是艱深難記的年代、人名。不想要讀者看作文像看課本一樣痛苦吧？這時候就要回想發生這個經驗時的情形。有什麼特別的地方？為什麼這件事就是比其他事值得一寫？為什麼你會記得這件事記那麼久？

例如，你可以說Because we were moving to another city, I had to say goodbye to my friends. I thought I would never see them again, and it made me very sad. It was raining very hard that day, and we hugged and cried in the rain.「因為我們要搬去另一個城市，我得跟我的朋友說再見。我覺得我再也見不到他們了，這讓我很傷心。當天雨下得很大，我們在雨中抱著哭。」

這麼一來，漸漸就有畫面了。

Step 3. 再加上感想！

講完發生了什麼事之後就直接結束了會太突然，也沒有一個結論。這時就可以加上你的心得感想。這件事讓你感覺如何？發生了這件事後，你的人生有什麼改變？有讓你從此對某些事情改觀嗎？同樣的經驗你還想要再體驗一次嗎？例如，你可以說After that experience, I learned to cherish my friends even more. No matter old friends or new, I enjoyed every moment with them, because I can never know when they might be taken from me.「經過這次經驗，我學會更珍惜我的朋友。無論是舊朋友還是新朋友，我享受和他們在一起的每一刻，因為我永遠不會知道他們究竟何時必須與我分開。」

就算題目只叫你描述事情，閱卷老師看到只有敘事而沒有感情的文章，還是會覺得好像少了什麼。用自己的感想收尾，可以讓文章更完整也更生動。

An Embarrassing Experience

這個珍貴的經驗改變了我對人生的看法。如果它沒有發生，我會變成一個驕傲的人。所以，我永遠不會忘記這個經驗。

1. What I Did Last Summer

During the last summer vacation I worked part-time at a bookstore. As an assistant to the storekeeper, I had to classify books and put them on the proper shelves. I liked this job very much in that I could learn about many books; what was better, during my break time, I could read as many books as possible. 去年暑假，我在一家書店打工。我是店主的助手，要把書分類、放到正確的架子上。一開始，我不太確定每本書要放哪裡。但是過了幾天後，我已經可以幫顧客找到他要找的書了。我很喜歡這個工作，因為我可以學關於許多書的知識，而且在我休息的時候我可以想看多少書就看多少書。因此，我在打這個工之後似乎成為一個知識豐富的人了。

打工不但可以讓學生自己賺零用錢，也可以讓他們獲得工作經驗、賺學費。而且，他們可以得到一種自主、負責的感覺。但是打工絕對不能影響讀書，而且學生不可以在KTV、夜店、沙龍吧工作。也就是說，學生在選擇打工地點的時候，一定要很小心。

小分析：不但說出自己的經驗，也在結尾舉出其他的打工地點作比較，並提出警惕，是個下結論的好方法。
