劇情簡介

王有道的妻子有一天獨自走夜路，碰上了傾盆大雨，她急忙躲進御碑亭避雨。不想緊接著又來了個青年書生，也到亭內避雨，她想衝出亭外，但雨實在太大了，只好與書生共處一宵，好在一夜無事。天亮雨停，她回家對丈夫說一夜經過，丈夫大驚：青年男女共處一宵，怎可能一夜無事？這樣的妻子留她不得！於是，王有道含悲忍淚，寫下了休書……

One night, when Wang, Yiu-dao’s wife was walking alone along a road, it started pouring. She was forced to look for shelter in the Pavilion of Imperial Stele. It happened that a young scholar also had to run into the pavilion to hide from the rain. She wanted to leave, but it was raining so hard, she had no choice but to stay in the pavilion and spend the night with the young scholar. Fortunately, nothing happened during the night. At daybreak it finally stopped raining. She went home and told her husband about what had happened the previous night. Her husband was shocked: How could nothing happen when a single man spent the night with a single woman in a deserted pavilion? He could not possibly keep her as his wife! Thus, Wang, Yiu-dao wrote out a declaration of divorce with tears in his eyes…
