About the Author
Peggy Rathmann was born in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in psychology. 'I wanted to teach sign language to gorillas,' she says, 'but after taking a class in signing, I realized what I'd rather do was draw pictures of gorillas.'
