此系列由國立成功大學專業英文團隊研發而成，是全台灣第一套以ESP（English For Specific Purposes，專業英文）概念設計，針對不同學科領域需求所設計而成的全方位英語教材。

成功大學專業英文（ESP）團隊，由成功大學外文系鄒文莉教授與其他外文等系教授群協力主持，以提升大學生英文素質為目標，目前從事專業英文教學的實驗與創新，是國內第一個以專業英文（ESP）為核心的教育研發團隊。
